According to a recent survey by M.E. Collins, 42 percent of girls in first through third grade want to be thinner. That's right, dieting is no longer for those looking to fit into that dress for Prom or even for that first dance in junior high. Being thin is a concern for almost half of all six-year-old girls on the playground.

I know I've mentioned this place before, but after yet another charming weekend visit I've decided that it just wouldn't be fair not to give it a full-on review. After all, with its retro decor and old-fashioned menu choices, there's no place else like it in the Twin Cities.

Cosmic's Coffee Bar
189 Snelling Ave
651.646.4788
Cosmic's is my least favorite place for coffee, simply because it's not what it seems. The entire premise of Cosmic's is to act as a bar replacement for recovering alcoholics. Therefore other patrons seem skittish, and if they don't recognize you, they don't like you.
